I drove up to Moloa’a this week for a play date and, of course, I had to stop at one of the fresh food stands. This week I picked True Leaf Farm stand, located at 6221M Koolau Road, Anahola, Kauai.
It really doesn’t look like much more than a little shack with cute hand-painted signs out front, but inside I found micro-green, fresh eggs, salad mix, carrots, cilantro, dandy lion, dill, parsley, arugula, radish, curry leaves, mung bean sprouts, clover sprouts, green beans, lemon grass and collards.
I was really kicking myself for not bringing a cooler with me. But I settled on a tasty-looking bag of collard, kale and beet greens. I couldn’t pass up the chance — where else would I ever be able to purchase a mixed bag like this?
